I think Catherine and Brendan like to move around a little bit. The story that Catherine told me about how they met is pretty romantic. They met in Townsville in 2008 and in fact lived in the same apartment complex – they were neighbours, and his friends already knew her friends so they were pretty well destined to meet.
They began dating in 2009 and eventually moved to Coolum on the Sunshine Coast, Qld in 2012.
The proposal is something else, and it could be a script for a movie. Brendan arranged for the two of them to go to a picnic at Mt Tambourine, Gold Coast. He had all Catherine’s favourite foods at the picnic and had picked out a beautiful engagement ring. Now this part is good. He asked Catherine to marry him with a box of chocolate he had ordered to be made that read
“CATHERINE MY LOVE WILL YOU MARRY ME?”
Well, you know the rest. The pictures are here to prove it.
The River City has a reputation to uphold as one of the most wedding friendly places to hold such an important event and it certainly didn’t disappoint on their wedding day.
The bride and her girls got themselves ready at the Quest River Park in Mary Street Brisbane, and the boys spent the morning at The Royal Albert, both places close to their wedding ceremony Location, St Stephens Cathedral in Elizabeth Street.
The limo had to pull up in Elizabeth Street when dropping the girls off ‘coz I have a feeling it was a little bit too long to get up the cathedral driveway. Absolutely love the shot of Catherine’s feet sticking pit of the car with her dad doing his best to give her a helping hand. Limo by Pinnacle limo hire.
The GPO and Post office square were a couple of locations very close to the Cathedral and then the couple ducked down to New Farm Park for a little bit of greenery. That eye catching shot in the street was done outside Tattersall’s Club, Edward Street.
We’ve been to a few functions at Tattersall’s and the service is always fantastic. I’m sure the bridal party and the guests enjoyed the hospitality as well as the old world decor. A step back into the grand old days.
Cake was by – A cake to remember
We wish them all happiness for all the years to come.
